Proven cam combos 540CI??
I wiped out a cam 2 weels ago when a lifter had issue, soooo.... now I am wondering if I do the upgrade now I was gonna do next winter, or just replace what I have...
What I have now is 547CI Aluminum heads 310 CC runner I am almost positive 9.2:1 with single plane intakes....
The cams now are supposed to be custom grind, I am working on finding out what they are fir sure, but so far came up with ...

What exhaust? What heads and what do they flow? And it might might be a little bit of a stretch to get 700HP @ 9.2:1 without getting into a big cam.
JimV's 540 cam makes a little over 700HP but that is with his aluminum heads, 10:1 and a relatively mild cam with ~0.650 lift.
I'll see if I can find a cam card. This is just what I have seen on the dyno and it is a combination of everything to achieve what you want.

I always thought he passed out some awesome kool aid, but I dealt with him for a customer and he's a really good guy to deal with and takes all the guess work out of it for the same price of something off the shelf.

To me it's small for the CI I have stainless marine dry to the transom long risers.... 650 is about perfect future hp for this boat with TRS drives not gonna take much more
