Default Prop advice

Here is what i have.

1990 Mirange Trivare 257
502 shortblock with a pretty big hydralic roller blower cam (dont know the specs)
Flat top forged pistons
Everything from here down is brand new.
Dart Pro 1 heads with Dielectric Coating
B&M megablower all rebuilt at The Blowershop with thier front snout and drive. 20% overdriven (should be 6-8lbs boost)
Intercooler with sand strainer
MSD pro billet marine distributor with advance locked out
Hardin Marine Max Volt Ignition Controller
Timing set lat 32* (locked out)
Hardin Marine "Hurricane exhaust system"
Quickfuel Marine Carburetors
Holly blue pump regulated to 7lbs pressure
Bravo XR drive 1.5 ratio
Signature 4 blade 28 pitch prop

Boat is running 79 mph (gps) at 5000 rpm's. cant pull any more.

Who builds the fastest (best) props and will give me the tech support to find the perfect prop?

Any prop advice would be huge. I know nothing.

What is a signature 28? I variation of a 28 pitch bravo? I think you will find the 4 blade bravo's are your best bet most the time. I ran a 4 blade on my 257, but that was a 64mph boat.

I would check your rpm (verify) with something other that the tach on the dash. 5000 and 79 (with 1.5 gears) is 10% slip, I DOUBT it's really that low. If it is, your going to have drive issues very soon.

I think you get about 400 rpm between pitches, I might try a 26 4 blade? Most 502's can run over 5000 RPM, not sure what yours is set up to do.

I tried probably 6 props on my Mirage, best thing to do is just start trying them out. They are ALL different. Even 2 of the same 28's will be different.

Good luck, I love to run a Mirage at 80. Badass.

Thanks!

Yes i verified it with another tach already and two gps units. All agree.
Signature is a propeller manufacturer.
