Everyone thinks you just bolt them on and go, then they grenade an engine. If you set them up correctly with a good fuel system, ECM tuning, engine cooling, and other upgrades they run great and for many hours. Jeff Wurl

Because Procharger makes it sound like any asswipe with an IQ over 12 and a $99 Craftsman tool set can slap it on before him and his buddy can polish off a case of Mil. Best. Unfortunately, it usually doesn't go all that well. However, if you spend the time to do the fuel system correctly, have the ecm tuned by someone that knows what he's doing, verify that tune in the boat with widebands, etc. you will have a great piece that will give you years of boating. In other words, just do the same thing that you would do with anything else that increases the hp by 50%.

Procharger's marketing kills me. By the time most people figure out that they are going to need to spend another few grand, they already bought the Procharger kit. They will never tell you any of this up front. Guys go in thinking they are going to spend 5K on a kit on Friday, slap it together on Saturday, and get after it on Sunday. If guys knew that the 5K kit was going to end of costing 8K, I'm sure quite a few would re-think that purchase.

When done correctly, they are great. When you follow Procharger's directions, you are SOL.

I think it is more to the set up and tuning rather then the reliability of the units. I have been running one on my truck for over 4 years now, have done nothing but change the oil. ^^ I will agree with the above. They def do not share ALL the info from the get. Even when talking tech talk with them they are vary vague. I had to change a shaft seal on the back side of a older unit one time, they told me it would be 450 buks and was a 2 week turn around. Needles to say my father and my self was able to do it in about 35 mins with a little R22 and light heat. LOL
