Thinking about bringing the family out for the week in 2014. Looking for recomendations for 10-12 people. Im fine with having to drive or boat to restaurants but would like to be walking distance to dock. Need to dock 32' boat. Kicking around house or resort. Would be great to find a large house 5-6 bedrooms with use of resort ammenities...ie pool and play equipment for the kids.

Check VRBO...................there's a big house that I know of that's around a lot of bars/resturants, it's a big house like you're looking for and it's called the "Lily Pad" I think, google it, it should come up, if it doesn't post here that it doesn't., goodl uck and have fun.

VRBO is probably the best for a do it yourself option. Tons of optionns, most will have a dock available, 32' is a little larger than saying it is a guarantee but still plenty of options. You will probably be able to find two 3 bedroom condos for cheaper than a large house, may be better or worse for your overall needs???
Don't get overly discouraged if you don't find the exact place right now. Many will change hands or list in late spring (Mar-April) for the season.

Choosing where to be at on the lake can be overwhelming, especially if coming for the first time.

I would stay at Camdenton (H. Toads)

Where Supercat Fest is, great location, plenty of rooms, swim up pool bar, bands, across from Gators. It's a great place and would have docks etc....

A little far from the course but plan early and take your time and enjoy the trip.
