Default engine hatch conversion

Has any one ever switched from a single actuator flip up engine hatch to side flip ? Any tips or tricks to making this work? I will be building the side flip ones some time this spring so any suggestions with building the hatch would be helpful also

Thank kile

I have so wanted to do this! Tired of the ram in the center being in the way.
So please give us some updates on your progress!
I have seen a few out there and really like it!

I didn't do it myself, but mine was converted by the original owner. I can access the engines from the cockpit or swim platform. It's very convenient. He did it by just sawing the hatch in half and put piano hinges on each half.
