seems to me qatar is pushing that new boat too hard in kw. that's brand new machinery and things are failing far too soon and two days in a row = not good. i think they need more seat time to learn the limits of their new weapon.

I think they need to focus more on another super cat boat. Since there are like no turbine boats to even compete with!! And if anyone says there is one other... I don't want to hear it, cause two boats in a class is still DUMB!!!

.... doused Miss GEICO and sent its Mercury Racing 1650s into Guardian mode.

Heard this a number of times during the raceweek. You build a milliondollar raceboat that
canīt race in the waterspray????????

good point, but i think it's a matter of operating thresholds. there is a certain amount of water any intake can handle, and apparently, the cross-spray was evidently above the safety limits of the engines. turbine boats are even worse off...they hate salt water. i have 100% confidence team geico will perfect their plans and deliver the beat-down to the competition tomorrow. does make for exciting racing, trading wins like that with cms.

this is also good point. always puzzled me why so few racers have stepped up to turbine class, and as a matter of fact, it seems to be losing appeal. aqua mania is for sale, myway is not at races, and old mg turbine mystic was never replaced with another turbine. only mary mac and now qatar 96 is at-bat in that class. more and more teams seem to be sticking to piston power, or leaving turbines and going back to piston.
