What about dyno numbers from the 502 Mag HO? I have been searching everywhere but can't find any - nor any comparisons to the 496 Mag HO.

502 mag efi, 415 hp, < 496 HO, 425 HP. Old style vs new style.?

I've found a 1 or 2 mph gain with the 496HO in my boats, and better gas mileage

Do you mean the 502 Mag HO or the 502MPI?

I'm interested in the differences between the 496 Mag HO and the "NEW" 502 Mag HO (not the old 502 EFI/MPI).

There must be someone who has some experience or heard something about a swap between the two?

I believe the original poster is refering to the current 8.2 H.O. which replaced the 496 when it was dropped ( by GM ). I doubt that you would see much if any improvement.
