Uhh wow, I get that there is a market for these ski boats but why involve the Scarab name - do companys assume they will get sales simply on the fact of using known names?

I get it, Sea-Doo and Scarab both start with an "S" so why not take a Sea-Doo and put a Scarab sticker on it....you know the wake boarder crowd all know exactly what a Scarab is(was), right??

Brilliant!!!

It's a Sea Doo with scarab branding. Sea Doo stopped producing jet boats. Now other company's are using their boats with their own branding on them. Glasstron is doing same.

What a disgusting thing to do to the Scarab name!

I'm sure there is a place in hell for those that desecrate the names of boats with such solid histories as Scarab by throwing the name on something like a re-branded Sea Doo.

Actually, it's not as bad as the Baja. this just looks like a SeaDoo with a sticker.
The Baja looks like a WTH!

Sacrilege...but my favorite part is the performance, top speed of 43 MPH with 2 people and 20 gallons of fuel. I burn that much just warming up the engine and idling out of the marina and 40 MPH is my cruise speed. I think this "name branding is targeted at the younger Iphone, twitter, facebook crowd. None of them have any clue about the lineage of the Scarab's but to them the name and logo sounds cool.

Being a Baja owner.... Lemme tell ya, that is something to be proud of!

The Baja introduction is just panty waste, at least the Scarab is presentable, makes sense and only cost $40K! Baja just lost their freakin mind.

I can agree with that, I really dont mind the boat at all just the fact its involved in "bringing back the Scarab name". lol

I am young myself but was raised drooling and dreaming over "Scarabs" sense a young boy, I can promise none of my friends or anyone who will own one of these new Scarabs will really understand the heritage behind the name.
