Default External steering end caps on newer swept bravo

I have recently upgraded my Baja 36 from old design bravo ones to the newer swept back bravo Xs. The boat is rigged with imco external steering and I wondered if it was possible to use the Latham type external steering cap which you bolt externally to the top of the drive, with optional drive shower.

If this is possible it means I do not have to take top of the new drives apart and maybe tap and dye new holes.
