........for the money!
In the spirit of tooting your own brand horn (even though I sold my last one), we needed a Baja thread!
I really do think that is is hard to beat a Baja for the money that you pay to get one. I'm talking about the real ones, not the weird ass new ones.
Yes, it is an "entry level offshore boat" but it filled a market need and did a good job at it.
My '29 Outlaw would run in the Pacific with Cigs, Fountains, Formula's Scarabs, etc. Granted, it would rattle a bit in the big stuff and I couldn't match the speed of the bigger boats but it never left me stranded, was cheap to buy and operate.
I'll let you big boys battle it out for outright offshore superiority (although I'm a Cigarette guy at heart) but for us little guys Baja's rule!
Merry Christmas everyone!

im all for brand loyalty but i just read the bayliner thread and im thinking i need one.i had no clue the features that are standard on them like a steering wheel, windshield and you can even opt for a stern drive instead of the std outboard version.they come in many different sizes and on the high end versions you can even get air conditioning.i think all the high dollar boat builders will go out of business trying to compete with the new BAYLINER LINE.

What can I say, I flirt with 70MPH, put 100's of hours a year in a turn key boat. It only needs serviced once a year.
The 8.1 sounds good and when my adult kids come to visit, I can tube them. Has anyone ever seen an all black Baja?
The best thing, it's paid for. When I buy my next boat, it will be paid for too. Debt sucks!

Baja,........... when your to broke to buy anything better!
jokes aside there are a lot of people who would not be in the sport now if they wouldn't have started with Bajas. My Baja is my second performance boat and hopefully I can move up soon and join the cool kids club lol.

Agreed 100%. Debt on a home or car is expected but boats are all about relaxing and enjoying yourself and in my opinion it takes away from the enjoyment. Furthermore, when you live in a city like Seattle having payments on something that sits 7-8 months a year sucks!
