Well, I was removing my old beat up SST stickers and to move them out the way for a graphics update..
Hair dryer .. heated entire sticker for about 30 sec.
Then with angled razor scraper@30 degree angle slid under 1/3 of 1" decal and repeated alternating top/bottom. Not concerned with getting adhesive off.
Then after numerous methods.. heat, thinner, asetone, finally found a bottle of "gel" spray goo gone!!
HOLY CRAP!!!! Sprayed all areas of remaining adhesive and after waiting about a minute and reapplying lightly, the razor cut right thru it!!! Gummed up on first past and ended up taking other side off in about 10 for both decal and adhesive!!
Once I perfected my method!!! I had used acetone and liquid goo gone by applying by towel and rubbing off before, but never this easy!!
Had to share!!

yikes that sounds like a mess. Astro eraser wheel makes short work out of old decals no prob. goo gone works on the goo pretty good though, I get something similar in gallons from my vinyl supply shop. any way ya cut it though removing old stickers sucks.

Never tried it on stickes and such but worked great on tinted window film. Steam cleanes such as advertized on TV for cleaning floors, cheep ones for removing wrinkles from cloths. Once I got the hang of it most of it pealed clean leaving little glue didnt dammage rear window heating tape didnt use any razor blade ecept possibly to start a corner.

Xylene from Lowes or Home Depot is one of the best glue removers I've ever used. I've never had it damage gel coat or clear coated paint. (I would be careful with single stage paint, its stronger that paint thinner). Sells for $18.98 a gallon. Wipe over the glue and a minute later use a plastic putty knife to pull the glue right off. If you saturate the glue well, it will literally come off like a hot knife in butter. It works great for large areas too.
