Hello,

I was finally able to put my boat into storage yesterday. On the way from my dealer to storage I picked up some salt on the boat and trailer. I was able to take my towels with clean buckets of water and get the salt of from the sides of the boat and most of the trailer. I even went over the boat with my spray wax. My question is I haven't done the bottom of the boat where the axles are. Will this cause a problem if I can't get to it for a couple of weeks? My boat is in climate controlled storage so it is about 60 or 70 degrees.

Go get some salt away and put is in a spray jug from home depot and spay your trailer down, that should help out.

use speed wax on the hull and salt will never stick to it, plus you will get 20% better gas mileage and another 12 mph top end...

ok heres how it works..if you would have put your boat in cold storage you would have been better off..the salt wont do any damage if the temps are below 32* but since you put it in heated storage i would be all over bpth the boat and trailer with a pressure washer..

I wouldnt worry to much. Are you concerned about you tow vehicle?

Thank you replying. I just came back from cleaning the trailer and bottom of the boat. Everything is good, wasn't that hard to get off. I had two wash buckets, microfiber towels and a wash sink. I'm not sure how durable the paint is on my trailer.

Lou, not very durable in my opinion. If you're anything like me you'll now be able to sleep at night.

I use it instead of oil in the motor.
