Looking for infos to convert an 8.2 MAG to HO Version!!

Hello from germany and merry christmas
i look for the right infos to convert the new 8.2 Mag to and HO version!
I get new engine for christmas and if i can do,i like to convert to HO version.
I ahve an non DTS engine!
So what is to do? The infos i have is that only the ECU has diffrent software and all engine parts are same.
Maybe someone here knows more??
also the ECU from HO version are only available with DTS. Can i use this ECU from an HO on my engine with no DTS??
Thanks for help and please ignore my writing mistakes!
! Michael

it is my understanding that the only difference is a cam change and a ecm reflash.

Thanks!
This is what and 496 mag need to become an HO!
But they all say the new 8.2 Mag did not need any hardware. but i am not 100% shure and look for real infos!
I have checked partsnummbers by Mercruiser and 8.2 MAG and 8.2 MAG HO have exact same camshaft( Nr 8M0046343) in them! So this part must not be changed!

No problem to change an ecu,but HO from this model have an ecu for DTS only! So i look for infos if i can use the HO DTS ecu on my non DTS engine!

Mag and HO cams have different part numbers, 431-881627 and 431-881628.

Sorry,but you made a mistake!
this nummbers are from the old 496 engines with 8,1 l! they have nothing to do with newer 8.2 engines!
there is only one camshaft for all 8.2 engines that are from 2010 or newer!
we talk about the older 496 engine!!

The new 8.2 and 8.2 H.O. have the same exact part # listed for camshaft.

This may be what you're referring to, but Whipple is offering an upgrade for your motor. There are a couple of mod levels to choose from
