You are correct, there does not seem to be many 38'/388's available for overall. I selected boats under $250K (or very close)

I would make a call for this 40' Skater, it looks good in person, and you may get it at a good price(just speculation on my part, but I am probably right):

Good luck in your search, the three pictures are for the three classified links.

I bet that Eddie at Lake Ozarks Marine or Brett at Performance Boat Center would know of something that is not currently advertised.
Good luck on your search!

We have a 40….a very nice one as far as Skaters go…. It's not a 36, but close. We could take a little off the bow and a little off the stern if need be..
'12 w low hours. With or without the tilt trailer.. Very well maintained.

I think 36s are hard to buy. They seem to be priced very high compared to 40s and 32s. I guess that's the model everyone wants.

My cousin just went through this search and realized that he could get a nice 40 for the same price as an overpriced 36. The power packages seem to be all over the place in the 36s as well. Almost every 40 classic has what I have, 1100s.

The perfect boat would be a 36 Skater or MTI with Merc 700s but that hasn't caught on yet enough to find a used one.

Now that we have that out of the way……buy my 40 and I'll help ol Tim G. out and buy his 2012 40'..

How does that boat do with the 525s? Very intriguing.
