Anyone has experience with the Volvo DPH drive?
They are delivered with the 990 nm 400 hp diesel.
To me it looks like they have the ability to stand up to approx. 800 Hp in a gas application.
(same as the Kondrad drive)

Contact Dave Stiff at Innovation Marine Engines. I believe that they were testing one behind some significant power. Peterunwin (the Dry-sumping DPR) thread has a lot of experience with these drives using the more streamilined -R lower unit an props.

Familiar... but only in stock applications. The DPH isnt avaliable on gas...VP use the DPS/Ocean X on the 380 & 430. That said-
The newer/current "C" drives have some upgrades over the earlier. Gears & Shafts increased to prolong life in commercial applications, as well as some oiling improvements.
The guys running Parasail boats really load them up at a relatively low rpm, with the upper out of water...a unique scenario sometimes giving them a the rare issue after considerable rt. I have heard nothing but good things from other commercial operators and folks using them in Leisure apps.
D4 300 DPH is in the future for mine...in fact I have a engine box to prove it.
