Happy New Year! Get your cars, motorcycles and aircraft ready, the Florida Powerboat Club is adding a Key West Land-Sea-Air Poker Run to its schedule for 2014.

While I applaud Stu for the "out of the box thinking in the new year", suffice to say the big glitch with this event will be the pricing.......Normal FPC Poker Runs are $750.

Can't see a guy paying $750 to ride a bike to Key West and the participation nets him a bag of stuff and a t shirt. The plane aspect is neat but I can't see the allure of doing a poker run in a plane/helicopter etc. I believe regular bike poker runs are $50-100 events, so to pay a 7-15X premium to go with FPC seems steep. Can't tell the land and air participants that the "safety fee/safety patrol" is for them either.

Yes, Im assuming the fee's for non-boats will be quite a bit less.

Motor Bikes: $295 *(1 rider- add'l passenger $100)
Cars & Coaches: $495, (includes 2 participants)
Powerboats, Yacht & Aircraft: $695 ( includes 2 participants)
Additional passengers & guest $ 100 pp (includes event tee & all access passes)
