Default Swim Ladder Removal

I was wondering if anyone has removed the swim ladder from the hull. On my 22ZX the previous owner must have left it down while underway and now it is bent preventing it from telescoping. Went to remove it and the screws are just turning in the hull.. I believe it is just a screw sunk into the fiberglass without a nut on the backside. Before I go drilling these out I wanted to see if anyone has had a similar issue.

I took mine off by pounding out the rod that it slides on. Then I used a small sledge to straighten it... Wider wheeled all the plastic off and hit it with this

Tossed it back on..... Worked great .......till it happened again

On a 28zx there are fender washers and nuts on the backside. Hard to reach but possible.

My old one was staight but all chipped up. I replaced it with one from http://www.ggschmitt.com

Ok so it is possible to reach the back side. I guess when the spring rolls around i'll have to give it a try

If I cannot reach the nuts on the inside I may have to go this route
