Default New LOTO water patrol boat is a cat

I passed a Missouri water patrol in a tunnel hull looked like a 26 American offshore or a 25 ft Eliminator. He was by the toll bridge he fell in behind me untill I turned towards the dam he went up the Gravois arm.I wonder if they will be at the shoot out in it my tax dollars at work!

Well, now if the state of Mo does what most other states and counties do is utilize unclaimed stolen items and/or siezed vehicles due to drug raids I can only hope this is the way thy now have a cat in the lineup
Then again, was this boat labeled as a DNR boat? Signs, markings etc?
Or was the driver wearing his DNR Suit and tie driving his personal boat on the way to the office??
I would only hope to assume they did not BUY a cat for Loto, especially such a small one. Like someone mentioned, Snotty water there.
I can only hope to be able to stay after between the shootout nad Labor day to enjoy hopefully some calm waters there

I spoke to Al Meiner from Elite Composits in Highland Illinois a few months back. He built a 30' Cat a few years ago sold the molds and is now building a 28' cat. He told me the MO. Water Patrol had sea trialed the boat and were going to buy a few. That could be the Cat you saw at LOTO. Really nice looking Cat from what I saw at the shop.

Yep, Meiner got the contract. I was speaking to Debartolo (Challenger) a couple months back and he told me WP was getting bids on a cat. Seems like kind of a small boat (26 ft?) to run in the big chop though. I wouldn't doubt that they'll drop the small cat idea after 1 good stuff in that water.

Gary,
You're right about the Cats. The MWP guys told me last winter that they were looking at a cat that was built in southern Missouri but didn't know the name. I was wondering if old Ron knew he was no longer selling boats to the MWP. Actually, I'm sure he saw it coming.
