Im startet thinking of switching my maybe damaged Counter Rotation Alpha G2 drive 2005 to a Right Rotation.
Is this right understoded?
* I need to replace my shift cable on the throttel lever at the bridge to another adjustment els the drive will go into reverese?
* I cant use the same Lower unit and just replace the parts ? the lower units are not the same?
Are there anything els i need to be aware of?
Can my engine be right and left rotatet also? These are: Mercruiser 1.7 DTi
Thanks!

You need to switch the shift cable at the shifter to match the normal rotation drive. The lower unit case is the same but some of the internals are different. You could change it over with the right parts and tools, but maybe cheaper to buy a used lower unit in good shape, or check out SEI drives. Why wouldn't you want counter rotating drives? Also the motors spin the same way and that can't be changed.
