i need to order k plane indicator cables for a boat that never had them. when i order cables is it overall length, threaded end to threaded end or is it the length of the jacketed part of the cable? is there anything i need to do to prevent water from entering the cable? it seems to me its a place for water entry

I believe they are measured tip to tip . can you get the measurement off the old cables? (which should be about 1' from the end)

If you call formula. Give them year and model . They will tell the correct length
