Default Big Motors in Cold Water

What would be the danger in running my fresh Sterling 1100s in LOTO in April where water temperatures are around 40-45 degrees?

No problem at all, as long as you have an oil thermostat to build oil temp. Just take it easy on them until you build at least 150-160* of oil temp, preferably more.

Wouldn`t hurt to run a lighter weight multi viscosity oil.

Like Eddie said wont hurt a thing as long as you get oil temp in them before you get on it.
