Was looking at a 2007 zxo that is in great condition. Boat tops out at around 68. I recently sold a 60 mph boat so I would like my next boat to be a solid 70mph. Just looking at ways to get that extra mph without doing anything crazy.

I don't know what RPMs, but the boat has stock Merc 350 mags that are turning Merc 4 blade props. The props have some blueprinting themselves. They are just cupped a little to give the boat a little more rpm. The owner said the boat runs about 70-72 while turning 3 blade props, but he switched to 4 blades to get the better planing ability.

Speeds are on the high side. GPS or standard speedo? It's tough to get the speed out of the ZXO because of the aerodynamics. I've tossed around a front hardtop idea. I'd bet if you added a solid cover to the bow and removed the seating up there it would net the best results. This is based on info from Mr. X on Donzi.net, he was a test driver for Donzi and stated that the issue with the ZXO is the aerodynamics. I have tried to run with the bow cover on but it lets too much air through. Possibly a vinyl or other material bow cover would work though. Speeds on a 350 mag boat should be mid 60s. I looked at a 377 Scorpion edition ZXO and the honest top speed was 73.
