Default Thinking about buying 96 382sr1 what's it worth

I have a friend selling his 96 382 sr1 and aluminum trailer it has twin 500s carbureted decent boat one motor won't start because ignition problem mechanic said part is 800 also needs prop on one side its vibrating he said he hit a rock with it I have a 26 ft baja now not sure I want a boat that big. Also what kind of top speed am I looking at thanks

I'll take a stab at it........

65-68 mph and worth about $35-45K as it sits.

this 40 is for sale and in good shape for about 20g's

Well I went and looked at it needs a little interior work the graphics are ugly and teal and painted on and starting to flake off and it's a steel road runner trailer not aluminum so now what are ya thinking

with unknown engine/drive issues (regardless of who diagnosed them you have to treat them as unknown) i wouldn't go much more then 15 or 20K. at the most.

and i agree 65-68mph . . .


Which 500's? Merc blue motors?

Ok got more info he said it's the distributer 400 and the mechanic said the other is gonna need to be replaced before long the prop has a little bit on one of the tips that is bent a little the owners a good friend of mine so it's not a random seller
