Anyone boat Castle Rock Lake?
#2
I have thought about going up there myself. I found a small map and there are some shallow spots on the north end. I was up there in Aug 2012. I rented a tooner for fishing and when I was out in the middle, a 32 Fountain and a 29 Formula were tearing it up. Really nice condos on the north end called Northern Bay I believe. That is where we stayed and would go back in a snap. Be interested to see if anyone else has been there..

Dave, it would be cool to go up there. I however need a truck to tow with. After I get the truck it would be cool for both of us to bring our boats up. Tear it up on the lake and grab a bite to eat.

Definately check it out. It's a lot of of fun. Several restaurant/bars on the lake . Usually can find plenty of boats to race around with. It's a decent size lake so not over crowded. One of the few places left that aren't over run by aggressive water cops. There are some shallow areas like all lakes. Get a depth chart of the lake and you'll be fine.

It's a little risky, but you can run up the river to the dam. Some nice sand bars up there. Try and follow a local as the channel is pretty narrow and you can get into trouble. Stay on plane and cross your fingers. I have gone up there every time I have been there, and have had no problems. Lots of fun up there.
