A little pre-Miami Boat Show information, plus a quick "spy pic," http://speedonthewater.com/in-the-ne...tion-29-footer.

Is it really $150k area with a 150hp verado though? I would think/like to see a 250 out back if it's a single engine.

It said 130ish w/ a pair of 150's. To me though a 29' boat for 130k better do more than 50 top end. It needs a pair of 300's for that price.

They weren't even Verados...... They are Mercury 4 stroke 150s

A pair of 225-250 Optis would work well on this boat

Well it is nice to hear it's a pair and not a single. I do agree a bit more than 50 would be nice but I don't see or really expect more to be honest.

1. A 29 ft. CC at 50 MPH is going to be "hold on" type speed......CC's are not anything like go fasts
2. Pair of 300's will probably overpower the hull and this was a price point boat, not top speed record holder

It looks like a lot of boat for the money and 50mph in an open-air boat is sounds plenty fast to me.

absolutely right. I think 60+ in my Cig cc is too fast. its nothing like a go fast boat.

and the price is right on i believe. i picked up a new 24' everglades bay boat with single 300 for 110k. 130k for the 29' SS is deal. job well done guys!

50+ is hold on speed in a CC? Well then I guess we will need seat belts in our newly purchased Concept Center Console, which is capable of 65 MPH w/Twin 225s.... I think twin 250s would be perfect fit on that 29', but I believe it is a heavy boat so I don't think twin 300s would be too much. I think Concept is now equipping their 30s with twin 300s as an option.
