Default Dakota Center Console info

I'm in the market for a previousley owned center console. I want to be in the 35 ft range.
Can anyone tell me about the "Dakota" centers. There is a few of them out there but dont know too much about them.

Thanks in advance.......

The Palmetto, Dakota, Marlin and the Malargo are similar hulls I think based on the 36 cig widebody hull. There are differences between the 4 but cant remember them off the top of my head. I think there was a good thread about them over on the hull truth sometime back. Somebody with more info should chime in here soon.

I just bought one last month, I havent taken her out yet except for a brief test run. supposed to be a great riding hull, all composite construction, I have crawled all over mine the hull seems very well built, the liner has more stress cracks than I would like but mine was fished hard so I'm sure it's been beat to death. It's a big 32, I had a 30 Concept prior and this boat is a lot bigger, I love the walk thru transom, head is in center console, nice cuddy with storage lockers.

What elese you want to know? Which one you looking at? I researched them for months

I thought the Dakota was based on a Sonic hull, but I might be wrong

Not sure on the origin, but Sonic bought the molds from now defunct Dakota in 2005-06

Yea.....I hear ya Ted. There is a 98 36 that looked pretty cool. Still leaning towards the Marlago.

Have you looked at Renegade Power Boats? I bought an 08 32 w/Twin Yamaha 350s last summer and love it.

I agree, the Marlago is a beautiful boat, I think it has more creature comforts than Dakota, but 32 was as big as I could go and Marlago only made a 35
