I recently went through a large RFP at work for interior lighting and learned that some high priced LED's can be junk, and some low price led's can be great and its difficult to tell.
Im looking water proof white bilge lights, colored strips for the gun wales, white courtesy lights for the interior and maybe under water lights. Any recommendations?
thanks

I recently bought two boat kits and have been pleased with the results.
I will post some pics of them soon.

Bought all my interior LED bulbs from Marinebeam. Somewhat pricey, but worth it IMO.
I look for the wide voltage, ex 10-30v, range specs, vs just the 12v rating.

I did buy a roll of waterproof LED thru ebay for $15. So far it has been just fine.

I also have had very good success with ebay lighting. You will find something that will fit your need and at good price.
If you want to kick it up a notch try Varad (info at http://www.varad.com/v4/) undercar lights that are multifunctional and you can actual make your lights go with the music. I have 2 sets on my boat. One set I have mounted under the transom for 3 years and they work great.

I too bought the $20 LED roll off eBay and use it in my engine compartment. Mounted it with 3M emblem tape, the tape supplied was junk off the get go. The lighting is holding up, no issues.

What do people use to stick to fiberglass? I used a thick Velcro strip on the fiberglass gun wales of my engine compartment. After about a month, it started falling off.

Picked up the double sided tape at Menards paint dept. Not sure if it is 3m or not, but has the red peel off covering. It's more of a thick rubber tape than the thin scotch type tape that is usually supplied with the ebay lites. I have a strip under my swim platform and it gets soaked, 2 yrs and still stuck like the day it was installed.
