Default Baja 342 Generator

I have a 2003 Baja 342 and want to add a generator to run the ac and keep a charge on my stereo batts. I've seen a few gens installed under the back seat but wanted some advice on choosing the right generator and do you have to modify the back set height to allow for clearance? Any pictures would be great.

I have seen a guy with a 342 have a portable Honda generator run the AC. He sets it on the top deck. Hardly hear it run. Much less than one installed on boat. I think it was a Honda 100 series. small and lightweight.

You cant do it under the back seat. If yours didnt have the option, you cant do it now. The gas tank would be shorter and installed near the keel. How much room in your engine compartment? (long sunpad or short sunpad?)

I use a honda eu2000 series portable "suitcase" style generator for my baja 302. I strap it to the bow rail when rafted up and hook into shore power. I can run my stereo with several amps and speakers cranked all afternoon without any worries. Weighs about 50 lbs and can barely hear it run. It will go all day + on 1 gallon of gas

I've got zero room in the engine compartment. HOs almost touch the back seat, and no swim platform so the idea of running a portable Honda gen doesn't sound appealing. I have a big stereo that can wear some batteries out and having a ac in the Texas summers would be a blessing

Just put in AC and use shore power. Its less of a pain in the a$$ anyway.

It's already got an AC. It's up under the bed in the bow. I've never used it and neither did the previous owner. I guess I'll look into that portable generator.
