Default 2004 / 2005 Dominator 32 or 2009+XRT

Sold my 35 Sonic and potentially interested in a 2004 / 2005 32 Dominator................what kind of speeds could be expected with 496 HO's.......how do these compare to the newer style hull..

I also really really really really like the 32 XRT models...............just not sure I want to spend the $ to get one..............

Any thoughts on both would be great!

I don't know a whole lot but I do know that Sunsation changed the 32 hull and also made it taller. I'm thinking sometime after '05?? Personally I like the sleeker, lower profile of the older style 32.

The Dominator hull (non-stepped) is good for 80 MPH with HO's.

This is correct. However, the acceleration with this hull and engine combination is really amazing!!

Agree. I did the Sunsation Rally in Dragonheart when it was new before he put the Vortech supercharged 500's in it. It was an HO boat from the factory.

Dominator hull: Still pretty fast, maybe slightly smoother ride, some say accelerates better (feels similar to me), a no-brainer to drive since you take the step-spin factor out and some people (like me) prefer the low mean look in the water.
Newer stepped hull: Definitely more fast, taller deck, you get a bathroom usually that is somewhat useful (I find myself standing outside of it using my sniper skills) and if you got the coin...the XRTs look absolutely bad ass.

You can't go wrong with either. I'd just buy whatever you can afford and is the best cared-for boat and you'll be happy.
