Default Outdrive painting

What Black paint have you been using to paint your outdrives with.Got my drives ready to paint only to find out that I can't buy Imron 99u paint anymore.Imron is all I ever used so now what now. ???? ..Thanks for your input. JOHN SR

I use PPG's single stage Concept. Not much out there like 'ol Imron. I wonder if Awlgrip is available in black, that might be worth looking into. Most paints (or pretty much any

Yes it is. That is what The Bravo Shop used to repaint my lowers and what they use on Bmax's.

I've always used the Phantom Gloss Black paint from Mercruiser/Quicksilver. They sell a primer to use first and a clear coat protector to use after as well.
I'm sure there are better ways, but for me with no paint equipment, its always worked well. Usually finish my Bravo's up with a fresh set of decals from Ebay as well.

Imron is available it's been bought out . There is different levels now. Or go get ppg fleet. I have 6 gallons of 99u if you need to get it from me I'm cool with it.

DuPont elite, DuPont elite productive, DuPont elite express. They sold their paint lines and it won't be DuPont next year is what my jobber said. Tiara,formula are still shooting it it's axalta and the Carlyle group bought them...

Eliminatorshane, I've been using PPG Concept, do you think the PPG Fleet product is better? My paint supplier says that Concept is better than Imron? Do you agree with that? The Outdrives I paint run in some dirty ass water, and I need all the quality I can get!
