Spent the weekend at the Miami boat show working the Chief booth with Bobby Saccenti talking boats, feel very privileged to be able to talk to him one on one and go over his designs. Watched some old races and learned more than I could ever imagine. I know he's forgot more than I'll ever know. At any rate here are the two new Chief's that are out there now.
The 2013 Race boat is the 2013 Guensey Gold Cup winner, runs 103 with twin 725 Ilmor's and ASD drives. Paint was done by Gail Paik just like the original War Path.
Boats are designed with twin steps and a reverse chine to hold a turn. New composite materials and 24 degree bottom.

The 2014 Poker Run boat is being built by Chief and ET Dorris with Fireflys Performance Marine in the Chicago area. This boat is also powered by staggered Ilmor 725, but with Indy drives. Full cockpit, AC, 300 gallon tank, digital dash, Myco trailer. Bobby thinks the boat will run 95-105 when completed. Right now it was finished as far as possible for the Miami boat show.
