Default i have a faria depth finder, need a trasnducer. who knows about picking them?

I have a faria depth finder and I am trying to figure out which transducer I need to purchase to make it work. It has a 2 prong plug on the back of it if I recall correctly and my boat has a through hull transducer with the wires busted off already in the boat. I would like to either reuse the existing hole that is there or use a in hull trasducer. i believe that faria used a airmar on all of their depth finders but i see allot of them for sale that have different plugs on them. i have no issues splicing wires but i am trying to figure out if all transducers are more or less universal or if they are specific to certain depth finders. any help here would be appreciated. thanks
