I have been looking at some 388, what speeds to see with the hp 500 and the 525 ?
Also did they change hull design of boats from 99 to the 2004 ?

1999-2001-500efi's 80-85mph
2002-2005 525 prob little better,
2002-2003 they started putting the ITS and sportmasters, also change the cockpit interior
bottom is the same
For above 100mph,they changed the stringer in the rear were ya could cut some strake out, I think 2005? also reinforced the front stringer around that year also.

Goodluck shopping

Riverboater,

The 388 Slingshot has not had any changes on the bottom since it's introduction in 1997. In 2006, the rear lifting strakes were filled and in 2008 all the strakes were filled on the bottom of the boat. The 388 Reloaded from 2013 and up have a different bottom with technology from the 39 Rockit. Hope that helps you out!

Love to see some pics of your boat and the set-up on the ASD-6's!
