Interested in buying a 27 activator stepped hull with cabin with or without power/drive. I prefer without but if one has power/drive and I feel I can sell my cobra (with power/drive instead of keeping for whats ever next) to make up difference of cash spent to put back in bank, than thats ok too Probably looking in the year range 02-06?

Twoks,
We are just now rigging the redone gecko boat. We can sell it to you without power. I think it's worth you taking a ride to Bridgeport and talk with Mark. The boat looks great. New gauges and throttles are in plus all new wiring by end of week. We are putting on the k-planes and gimble this week.

Just curious. Are there plenty of 27 activators with a cabin of some sort or were most built as a race type hull? I am asking because maybe wanting a cabin is going to be a hard find and also hoping for a gell coat finish might be asking for too much when looking for a used one.Any info would be appreciated.

most of the 27's were used as either fast poker runners or some raceboats. The three activator 27's ive had were raceboats. Team Outlaw, Coast Guard, Gecko Tequila. As for the gel coat I honestly dont know the percentage as to how many are gel coat or how many have been painted. If you pm rageman28 he can probably shed more light on the ones hes built and created.

Thanks for info eagledm44. I forgot about poker runners Its not that I dont like nice paint jobs,I do It's just that when I go out boating it is usually just my wife and my self (we trailer) and she cant swim so I am all over the boat when pulling into the ramp or beaching it to hang with friends so I worry about scratching it up.I thought gell coat might be a little more forgiving.I think though that most performance boats will probably have paint and graphics. When I bought back my cobra it came back with this nice graphics paint and I really like it but I also always worry about scratching it.The one thing about not buying new is you can't get everything you want and urethane paints are very strong today and two stage urethanes are great and dont sun fade.Something I should think about.

Hi Mange, congrats on owning the mold to the 27 activator! I think the activators are a much nicer looking boat. I never liked framed windshields.I think when Mark made the activator he made a more efficient bottom although the excaliber was great for its time and probably still is very ok even now, but I think activators are much better.Mange good luck with the Swedish Activators I have been watching your posts of the builds and they look great I think the Gray one is the one I like most. I looked at one of Marks 30' over here in freeport LI and wow what a boat that is too.
