Default Outside storage durning the season in the chain o lakes area....?

I'm looking for recommendations for safe outside storage in the Chain O Lakes area. I live in Mchenry area and boat is a 292 Formula. It looks like I may have lost my current one (business is moving) that was less than 3 miles from Port Of Blarney. Does anyone know if Blarney offers outside storage durning the season? I have been using the ramp for a few years and really like the location. It doenst have to be a marina but the main concerns are space, security, and proximity of a good ramp. I see the writting on the wall and would rather get something going now than wait until the season starts....IF IT EVER STARTS!!

Thanks in advance...

I will have space inside in a secure building that you would have 24 hr access. It is just west of the port less than 3 miles away. Call me if interested, Steve 847-338-0514

I store my boat outside at the Port o Blarney on the trailer. I like the ramp, and having the bar/restaraunt there to have people gather while I get the boat in the water. Besides one of the best prices on the chain. I want to say it was $500 for summer parking with a season launch pass.

That's what I thought also until I got a quote today from them for $1200.00

I just about crapped a brick!

I know I was quoted 500.00 last year.

Agree about the bar/restaurant, we used to launch there as well when we boated the chain. After wiping the boat down it was nice to get a soda and a sandwich before heading home.
Never stored there before but for what they are charging now that should include indoor storage. How is the security there with all the traffic that goes in and out?

That is their slip cost and that is w/power, not their yard trailer cost. I think you might have talked to the wrong person over there. They are re-opening for the summer season March 15th. I would contact them after they are open and make sure they know you are talking about storing your boat on the trailer with a season launch.

I haven't had any problems. The boats are parking in a different lot than the normal patrons. There is bar staff on premises till well after the bar closes, then they open again for breakfast. Plus there are a solid group of camper trailers with people there on the weekends also, so someone is always around. That isn't going to stop someone who really wants your stuff though.

My only real complaint was the gravel lot the trailer boats are kept in. Meant more wiping the boat down. Other than that, I felt like I got treated pretty well being around almost every weekend.

I am planning on being back there again this summer. I think I am going to shoot them an email to verify trailer storage and ramp pass price.
