I just picked up a much nicer condition alpha transom assembly and while taking off the main oring seal, I took off some paint on the edge of the inner part from an adhesive remover... the guy used 4200 under the seal and it wasn't coming off easily, so I ended up using a plastic scraper and some remover called "Goof Off" from home depot.

Should I kinda sand it down and just shoot is will some black merc paint or just leave it?
