Trim Tabs on a 26' Awesome

Has anyone put trims tabs on their 26' Awesome? Were is the best place to run them? Mounted on the transome or mounted in the step in the transome?

I
have them mounted to the tunnel on mine use them to help pack air at lower speeds.
