Default Rebuild 110v pump?

Can this pump be rebuilt?

Quit working and got hot. I know it's not a real expensive pump but if I could save a few $ getting someone to rebuild it I would like to. It's for my a/c.

they are magnetic drive pumps... Only 2 or 3 things can go wrong with them.. Impeller clogged/ cracked, shaft bearings went bad or the windings fried.. You can take it apart to see if it is the first 2 but, if the windings are bad you are out of luck

Pretty sure that Cal pump is a standard plastic impeller driven pump. Impeller driven by the motor shaft. Not sure if it's worth attempting to rebuild?? Replaced one on a buddies boat. Seemed like an inexpensive unit IMO. Depends on a seal to keep water out of the motor.

If you do replace it, I'd suggest looking at the March pumps. They are magnetic driven and water cooled. Both mine have been trouble free

That little Cal-Pump is the same as our March LC-2CP-MD ....handles units up to 6k BTU's
if bigger is needed then the LC-3CP-MD is next and handles up to 24k BTU's

I work for March Pump.
