im building a lil toyota 22r engine for my daily driver, and want to install some arp rods bolts, but dont trust the local machine shop to resize the rod ends. is resizing mandatory/ thx, rm

If you are replacing stock type bolts with ARP bolts, then yes, you will need to resize them. The ARP bolts will have a higher clamp load and will certainly cause the rod to be out of round.
