Default Boat Comparison Formula 312 Fastech vs Fountain 32 Fever

Looking for experienced opinions, stuck between formula 312 Fastech w/ 502MPI's and Fountain 32 Fever w/ 500HP's.
Always enjoyed the quailty of my previous Formula's but never owned a fountain. Still want quality not just speed.

Help??

Good friend had a 312 with Std 496's. 78 mph boat. Amentities were very nice just like every Formula I have ever been on. I was not impressed with the ride at all. I have been in numerous other boats in the same size that road much better. I would look at at something else like a Active Thunder , Scarab 33 AVS, or even a Sunsation Dominator. None will have the interior fit and finish of the Formula though.

From what I have heard:
Formula 312 doesn't have a great ride in the rough
Fountain 32 has a very tight engine compartment and difficult to access the bow over the windshield

The engine bay room is a big reason I passed on a Fountain 32

There is a 96 38 Scarab in the classifieds which is a better deal than that 32
