I would like to have a dock at my parents lake house for my boat. If you can describe or show pictures of your dock that would be great. Right now I have a 25' Baja and would like to at some point upgrade to a 30 to 35' boat and stop there.
Thank you, Nick

On pilings that I can move out of water for winter time. Like a sectional dock. Were not allowed to have a permanent dock that stays in the water year round. It can't be a dock with wheels simply because their is a hill. Luckily we have steps that lead to the top of the hill. When you start going on the steps you go right and the steps gradually angle up to the hill.

We bought the connect a dock system and you can lay it out in any configuration you want. It comes in 4 x 8 foot sections and basically connect the sections together with socket set. We drive in poles to hold dock in position. We have 7 4x8 foot sections and laid them out in T shape. 3 sections going out and 8 foot by 16 foot section at the end. It goes in and out very easy and I like the system overall. I don't leave my boat tied here just for day use because we have a boathouse with lift. If I were going to leave my boat tied up all the time I would do a U shape at the end of the dock to keep boat secure tied off both sides so waves and other boat traffic would not affect it.

Chris, I would like to get a boat lift as well. I would not want my boat to sit in the water all the time. It's not good for it. Thank you for mentioning about your dock. That's awesome how you can store your boat in the boathouse.
