28 skater stock 300xs 1.62 sportys-whats the best all around prop? I'm hearing things all over the map-bravos,3 blade cleaver,4blade cleaver, etc?? boat currently has 32 bblades on it,I am looking for good mid range and decent top#

The new mercury bravo 4 blade props OC 14.3/4 dia x 30 - 32 pitch with the propshaft 1in - 1.1/4in above the bottom.

we ran 14.5 34s 3 blade merc lab wheels worked good

Mercury Racing 2.014 Miami Boat Show: Scott is also showing two additional props set for release in April. The Bravo I OC is yet another application-specific variant of the popular Bravo I propeller. The 300 h.p. rated prop is designed for use on outboard performance catamarans – with the OptiMax 300XS being the target application. The diameter has been cut down to 14.75″ with a pitch range of 32″ to 35″ (even and odd) sizes. A shortened exhaust barrel settles the stern to minimize drag while blade cup has been added to maximize performance with the new diameter. The prop has been tested on 28-foot to 32-foot Skater, Talon, DCB Spectre and Doug Wright hulls. It outperformed three and four blade cleavers in both acceleration and top-end speed. The Bravo I OC will be available in both left-hand and right-hand rotation.

I would like to find out if there is a program to test the above new props. In all my testing thus far and friends with 28 Skaters we have not found a better a prop than the Dewalds. 34" 4 blade cleavers. They have out performed everything on my boat thus far. I have run some round ear thru hubs in the past they are good also but not as fast. Dave's props are resonably priced and carry a warranty against breaking blades.
Is there anywhere we can see the results of the new Mercury props?

I agree with Double Rigged as well....4blade Dewalds have made my 28Skater run great.......I originally ran 3 blade Mercs and BBlades......

The Dewalds are the best, I tried the others, including 5 blade thru hubs. If ya want to get the most out of it listen to Double Rigged. On my boat the Dewalds pull very hard from 70 on up, plus they are smooth..

has anyone tried the Dewalds on the 30/32 foot outboard skaters? If so, what were the results? what power was used?

I have ran 4 and 5 blade Dewalds on my old 30 Motion and my Current 30 Doug Wright. The Dewalds run very well on both boats. My only complaint is that they seem to run real nose high. In calm water they were perfect but in the rough water they we not as good as my Hydromotive P5's. Now, I am running 5 blade Herings (Cleaver tips) and it is the best of both worlds. So far I only lost one mph on top end but it so much better in the rough water. I think with a slight change in setup I will get the speed back.
