28 NordicSSC 151mph run

Default 28 NordicSSC 151mph run

I switched to an SCX4 drive and last year ran 144 at the Lotto shoot out. I had Gary of GT Preformance send drive to Wilson Marine in Miami and blue printed the SCX4 . We got drive back and I installed drive and we were off to the lake. Chris Winters went with me. The lake had 6inch chop and I made my run down wind. I was using an old style clever 35 pitch 15 degree rake and 16 1/5 dia. I only turned 6400 rpm and 151 mph. Let me tell you I was so excited. Any way I talked with Gary and Scott from Mercury racing and ordered new clever. that all I have for now . No Nor Bucks

Congratulations on the amazing accomplishment and safe run! The 28ss is one amazing boat!

Buck I have a new 28ss being taped up in the mold right now I am going to use a SCX-4 also , how did yours run out with the standard SCX with a shorty ? also on your boat when it was built the X dimension was set up for using the standard SCX with a shorty in mind ?? just wondering thanks .

Thats hauling the mail what power are you running ?

575 With scx . blue printed by Wilson marine boat ran 141mph. Drive was set 2inches above bottom. with scx4 drive is 4 inches up. My SCX is for sale.
