NIOC will be hosting the annual Thunder Run out of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois this year.

Any more info on the route/stops for this year?

From the looks if the poster entry dose not include a slip. I guess when I think about it that how it was last year. What the preferred bar for after party ?

Route is still in development. Lunch stop is Waukegan Yacht club.

Regarding slip being included, that can be added to entry fee but it doesn't seem fair to include for everyone as some put their boat on the trailer at the end of the day.

Friday's activities will be held at the Tropics - located at edge of marina by boat ramp.
Saturday's evening activities will be held at Winthrop Harbor Yacht club - located a point of marina overlooking the lake.

What hotel is going to be preferred? Half the fun is drinking in the parking lot at night!!!! I may or maynot have slept In the boat ..... On the trailer last year.......

It really is up to you. It will come down to room availability. The block of rooms will release after 5/1. I would think the following order.

Market Inn
