Ft. Myers Offshore to award $ 42,000 in student scholarships
The Board of Directors of Ft. Myers Offshore, Inc. ( FMO ) are pleased to announce they will be awarding $42,000.00 in student scholarships to SW Florida students in the next couple of months. This is a record breaking amount for FMO, as 21 area students will benefit from the clubs student scholarship program. With the success of this seasons fund raising efforts, in addition to awarding a record number of scholarships we have been able to increase the amount of each scholarship from $ 1,500.00 to $ 2,000.00.
We would like to thank the clubs membership for their continued support, our sponsors, the students and teachers who get involved as well as a special thank you to FMO’s John Wilkinson who heads up the scholarship committee. Everyone should feel very proud in doing what they can to further the educational goals of these young students.
While we are winding this season down with our final run on April 5th, we are looking forward to another great season on the waters of SW Florida when our 2014 / 15 schedule resumes in October.
