We have been rebuilding a hurricane sandy 330ss that we got at a very reasonable price with low hours. The main reason it was totaled was the ridiculous price of the windshield. It was damaged on land, and did not sink or flood.
We got the windshield problem solved, and much cheaper then formula wanted. However, we have a problem with the sliding door to get into the cabin. It either got knocked off the slides when the right side windshield got hit, or pieces of glass are clogging the slides up beyond our reach. Does anyone know how to access the bulk of the sliding door? Does the whole right side dash piece have to come off, or is there access inside somewhere. I am going to call formula on Monday to see but I was just curious over the weekend. Also, did they have a manual for all the systems on the boat? We have almost everything figured out and working but a manual would sure be nice.
Thanks,
Joe

What model year 330SS?
The only access that I have found so far is the small removable panel below the helm. I have some factory pictures that I'll look thru to see if there is any indication of how things go together.
However, send an email inquiry to Formula Tech Support via the 'Contact Form' on the web site. They do a pretty good job of getting back in touch.
They should be able to help on both issues - door and manual. I have the original manual, so if there are some specific question, just post them to the thread.

Its a 2001 330ss, twin 7.4 mpi's.
I found that little access way, but unfortunately its the upper slide that seems to be dislodged. Formula has been very helpful when we were contemplating purchasing the boat. Visually it looks like one huge section needs to be removed, I guess the question is if its also glued down.
The one thing that took us a while to figure out is bilge pump in a box in the back, with the filter on it. We determined its the shower (and guessing sink?) drain. Do you know why they do it like that? Also the two through hull pickups in the front of the bilge. One is the output for the macerator pump, but the other we are not completely sure. Toilet flush water comes to mind?
Thanks again,
Joe

the shower bilge takes the waste water from the shower and the cockpit sink and pumps it up to the waste tank.
the second thru-hull is a raw water source for the toilet, as you had suspected. I changed mine to draw water from the fresh water tank that is in the bow.

The sink and shower drains to the bilge drain box, where it should be pumped directly overboard from there. It's designed that way so your not filling up your waste tank needlessly with harmless soapy water. And so it doesn't make a mess in your bilge without the drain box. The screen keeps hair and trash from plugging up the pump.
My raw water thru hull is the cooling line for A/C, everything else comes from fresh water tank. '88 Formula 29PC.

Ok, after speaking with Formula we found out the door just pulls off and out when you take off the slides.
I took it apart, pulled it out and cleared the debris out of the slides that was causing the initial problem. When I put it back together it opens much better but not what I would call smooth at all. You have to use two hands to get the door in the right location to pull it open. Pulling from the handle tends to cock it to one side and then it jams up. The slides have three holes each and there is no excess slop so its not mis-aligned slides. Maybe they are worn out?
Anyone else with 330s or similar, how smooth is your cabin door?

I'm not sure I would use the word "smooth"... If I grab it at just the right spot at the lower part of the curve, I can do it one handed and pretty easy. You're absolutely correct, the handle is about the worst place to pull. I've been thinking about installing teflon strips in the rails or something to reduce the friction and make it easy to pull/push. And don't even think about a one handed open from inside...
I may need to see if I can build some kind of rolling adapters.. though to little friction might also be a problem.
