Default Lifter Valley Vents

I'm getting ready to do the assembly on my 383 here in the next few weeks.
The question is, does anyone use the screw in vents the keep oil from dropping on the rotating assembly. I know they are used in circle track engines that run high RPM for long periods of time, but what about boats that can run 4500 all day long? I know this really only applies to small blocks.

Thanks in advance for replies.

I don't see the reason for them in these applications. I, and others, have been running them at higher rpms longer than some members here have been alive. LOL.
