What do you consider to be the best trailer bearing lube? I used Lucas Red & Tack last year, seemed good......

Doc are you suggesting that the trailer needs to be maintained also? go figure I knew I forgot something! Just kidding, I happen to like Mobil 1 synthetic (red) wheel brg grease. I use the tubs to repack and the tubes in the grease gun for monthly touch ups, never had a problem with this trailer in 14 years and numerous trips to Havasu. JMO

i been running the mystik marine/waterproof grease for quite some time. Seems to work good, havent had any bearing failures.

This^^^^. I've also used the marine bearing grease from NAPA that is light blue in color and it too works well.

Mystik in the green tube. It's a clear grease, holds up well and no stains.

I think it boils down to one thing. We like an affordable product, with good quality.

For the most part, I dont buy into the idea, that some magical 10 dollar a tube grease is going to keep my bearings from failing. What will, is lack of grease! Or rust/water contamination, cheap china crap, improper bearing torq, etc.

Agree, I average 1-2k annually with some 5k years.
Most important is annual maintenance. Water contaminates bearings regardless. Synthetic might buy you a little more time but if I have a late season big tow, I check the front grease anyway.
Bearing grease is easier than a water pump change. Put trailer on jack stands, remove all wheels, pull on some latex gloves and knock 'em out. I would rather spend 90min when I have Spring Fever instead of untold hassles on the side of the road.

Answer for OP, Strabrite Marine bearing grease currently.

Mystik red grease for the past few years and happy with it.
