As the title says I'm looking a 1980's or early 1990's F250 or F350 beater/fixer truck. Truck must be running, driving, 4x4, automatic and have A/C. A/C does not have to work but it must be a factory A/C truck that I can fix the A/C on if it needs to be fixed/recharged. I will fix little problems, tires, etc and do minor rust repair and new paint, etc.
I have been searching craigslist for months and only find junk or over priced junk. I will not pay $5000 for a rusted out 1982 F350 with 300,000 miles that needs a transmission and does not currently run due to whatever excuse listed in the add.
I don't know why people here in VA think old busted a$$ trucks are worth so much???
Back in 2010 in MI I paid $1400 cash for a 1985 F350 Crew Cab Dually (105,000 miles) that was from TN with no rust and only needed a new carb, ball joints, A/C compressor, and front tires.
So looking for a older beater/fixer truck and I have cash in hand, I don't care if it is gas or diesel. Please help if you know anyone in my area selling. Thanks!

I'm with "Sydwayz" get out of Hampton Roads and look within the Richmond, Charlottesville, Fredericksburg triangle area where there's more open country and farms. Should be something that would fit the bill.

Well I was really looking for auto,A/C, 4x4, extended cab. But I might have to settle for a reg cab. I found 2 reg cabs that could be possible.

Back in Nov I went to NC and looked at a 1986 F250 ext cab auto 4x4 with A/C that was in decent shape for $1300 and I passed because I didn't want to buy the first truck I found on craigs. kicking myself in the a$$ now

Now here's definitely a beater, but at least the seller is upfront about the good, the bad, and the ugly.......
