Default Baja 232 boss floor question

I was curious to anyone that has a late 90s baja 232 boss with cuddy, is the center part of floor between the two seats suppose to give a little bit? The rest of the floor felt solid but gave a little bit where that removeable circle piece is.

Yeah when I stepped on it putting a little pressure it gave a bit, although I'm also a pretty big dude, so maybe that was part of it. Can you look under there after lifting that little circle piece off?

My 232 islander was the same,It was rotten. Its balsa core so it's not real strong to begin with. I redid mine with plywood and new glass on the back side much stronger now. I believe there are several post on the issue.

You might also check that the deck plate/inspection port isn't broken itself. Mine was "soft" and that's all it was. The part thats screwed to the cockpit sole was cracked around the inside, where the threads are. Was really hard to see the crack but with the "lid" screwed on it would flex. Imagine 95% of the people who've been on board have stepped right in the middle of it. $20 deck plate = problem solved, on mine anyway. Good Luck.
